I recently had the experience of directing my first production for Tree County Players.  It was an experience I thoroughly enjoyed!  Over the River and Through the Woods was a heart-warming comedy that I fell in love with the first time I saw it.

As a board member for TCP, I knew it would be a story I could bring to life for the people of our county.  I have directed over ten shows for South Decatur Jr./Sr. High School, but directing adults was completely different!  I had a great, small cast of six members.  I could not have asked for a better group of actors!  They were completely professional, dependable, and very helpful throughout the rehearsal process.  As our packed house began exiting on the first night, I saw people smiling, laughing, and even crying as there are tender moments in the show.  I was so relieved that the audience loved the show as much as I did!  We had a successful run of three performances.  I appreciate all the support I received throughout this process from my cast and crew and TCP.  I look forward to directing another show in the future!
