A Little Bit About the Show

“Break a leg!” takes on a whole new meaning for a woefully misguided troupe of players at the Cornley University Society’s opening night performance of The Murder at Haversham Manor. An unconscious leading lady, a corpse who can’t play dead, a ruffled detective, and a word-mangling butler (among others) must battle against technical gaffes, forgotten lines, and sabotaging scenery in a quest to arrive all in one piece at the final curtain call. Part Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes, all mayhem, this 1920s whodunit is disastrously delightful.

Front and Center Players

Eight years ago parents of individuals with intellectual disabilities had a vision to develop a show where there was an opportunity for their loved ones to be able to express themselves through the performing arts. The Front and Center Players have performed each year since 2012 at the November ARC of Decatur County meeting. The show is a one-hour variety show celebrating the dancing, singing, and acting talents of the troupe members. The troupe’s notoriety has continued to grow over the years as has their talent and abilities. Free admission sponsored by: The ARC of Decatur County

The Gift of the Magi

Jim and Della eat potatoes for dinner every night and stuff their boots with newspaper to get by, but everything they want is for each other. They’re so head-over-heels in love they can make a cozy home in turn-of-the-century New York with little more than the coins in their jam jar. But what’s to be done about Christmas? When a strange twist of fate leads the young couple to find the perfect gifts for one another at an unexpected cost, Jim and Della learn the true meaning of the holiday. Classic Christmas carols punctuate this sweet and joyful retelling of the O. Henry short story.

They're Playing Our Song

A funny, romantic show about an established composer and his relationship with an aspiring young female lyricist, not unlike Carole Bayer Sager. Professionally, their relationship works beautifully, but personally they hit a few bumps: romance blossoms, conflict rears its head, and comic sparks fly.
